The next few weeks are jam packed with stuff going on. This weekend we are getting ready for the Oysterfest in CT, hopefully we do better than we did in Maine. We have been working on a couple a new things with pork, and I think I finally have something good enough to compete with, all year my pork has been average at best, so it would be awesome if it does well.
After this weeknd I have the Pats game monday night, which I can't wait for. I can't believe football season is upon us, I think the Pats are going to do very well this season, especially with Brady back in the drivers seat.
After the Pats game, the following weekend is the Harvard Fall Fest. Last year we had a great time, it was the first contest we did with the new team. I can't believe that it has been a year already, how time flies. The Harvard Fall Fest will be our 6th contest this year with one more to do at the end of October (The Battle of the BBQ Brethren), so seven in all for this year. Next year I hope to do about 10, we'll see what happens.
Bill - Thanks for your blog. My first competition will be Harvard and I will be using your competition checklist. I've also noticed that much of our Pats tailgating gear will be in use at the competition. I've added my portable TV to my list so we can keep track of the Pats while their in NY on Sunday.
